Re: [FWDLK] Question re: 3spd. trans cable

Group:  Does anyone know if the 2spd. Powerflite trans cable, or the 3spd. cast iron Torqueflite trans cable can be used in a 1962 alum. case Torqueflite or do I need the 62-65 cable to make the 62 trans work?  Any help you can give is appreciated.  Also, I am selling the following items if anyone is interested:
56 Ply full stainless wheel covers $25ea. (nice)
Dual Quad intake for Poly, tanked, magged, perfect and ready to bolt on $225
56 Ply NOS Heavy Duty 2 3/4"radiator core $500 and more stuff, let me know.
Thank you, Gary Pavlovich

A few things that I need help on:

1) I've been offered a dual quad setup from a '57 DeSoto for $1000. Will this fit a '58 Plymouth 318? (I'm told it came off a DeSoto hemi so I don't think it will - just living in hope....). Does the price sound about right or is it too much - apparently everything's mint. Lastly, if it won't fit the 318, does anyone want it?
2) Dismantled front suspension on the Plymouth last week to detail it and replace all the bushes. Bottom suspension arms are attached to a 'spindle' that go through the engine crossmember. How do you separate the spindle and the bottom arm? I can see a nut and a split pin if I look down the torsion bar side, but there's no way to get at it.
3) Are floorpans available for a '58 Savoy two door from any NOS/new manufacturers?

Thanks in advance,
Anthony Knight
