If you're talking about Eaton Detroit Spring, I've had very positive
dealings with them - good prices, very helpful, very knowledgeable.  Maybe
you should call them (probably expensive from NZ, though).  Do you have a
sample of the original ?  If so, send it to them so they can see what you're
talking about.  As a last resort, if you are unsatisfied, I'm sure they will
refund your money.
