On the 57's the number is hard to see BUT the legal types have
to do some serious crawling and squirming to see the num but they do make
it.

Ron, on my car, and the others in its particular line, the frame number
matched the motor number, the body number was different.

Does cause some confusion with the police untill they confirm that little
factoid.
