Re: [FWDLK] Last Year For Hemi Imperial

A question related to this issue, and possibly helps clarify it as well. I
have a lead on a '59 Imperial Crown Southampton LeBaron, 4 door hardtop.
Instead of the usual one "moon-ring" on each of the fins, it has two
moon-rings on each side; it has the trunk mounted air-conditioning unit,
and since it's the LeBaron, my assumption is that this is the "best" that
Imperial offered in '59. It has power everything, is in fantastic original
condtion, and no, it does not have a hemi. It has a 413, and NO cross ram.
So assuming that if any '59 Imperial could have had a hemi, and this
top-of-the-line car does not, then I would conclude that George is correct,
and they were probably not available in '59.

Now my question, since if I'm lucky, I may eventually be the owner of this
car: can anyone tell me the production run of this specific model, and what
the value of a high #2 or low #1 car would be? Thanks,
