[FWDLK] braked, broke, broken...

Hello list,

We have the front of the '55 Chrysler Windsor Wagon off the ground, taken
off the wheels, rims, brakes, and brake plates, and all related brake
parts. So far we've put the brake plates (cleaned up of course) back on,
along with the wheel cylinders, and lines. What my problem now is I know
where all the reamining parts go, except I forget which way one of the
pieces face. There are two wheel bearings, which are no trouble, but there
is a large washer that goes between the brake plate and the first wheel
bearing, before the drum goes on. I't a large cirsular thing with a groove
in it-which way does the groove face? It looks like something the drum
would fit into, but it doesn't, and I've tried it both ways-it seems to
turn easier with the groove facing in, but as I have it all apart, and
don't want to have to take it apart again, can someone point me in the
right direction? Thanks in advance,

~dave
