Re: [FWDLK] gahhhhh!!

After purchasing my 59 Plymouth Sport Fury up in Minnesota I was driving it
home to Wis - the trip was about 350 miles - the first gas station I stopped
at the lady at the counter said "what kind of a car is that?" At least she
had the sense of not trying to guess and come up with a Chevy or whatever.
This past summer (it's gone already) I put the car in a few car shows and
the best response I observed came from older women (at least in their 60's).
They would walk around the car smiling and run their fingers along those
beautiful fins. I usually go with two friends, one has a immaculate 55
chevy and the other a 60 Corvair and they couldn't believe it. One of the
guys wives said "they must be remembering that big back seat" (chuckle). I
had a 59 Sport Fury back in the 60's and she's right, that big back seat was
nice back then. BTW very few people know what year the 59 is - they always
come up and say is that a '57. John Z
