[FWDLK] Rear Axle Shaft

Hi All -

I'm replacing the rear axle shaft on my 59 Dodge with one from a spare rear
end, due to damage to the threads.  I've cleaned all the gunk off the
replacement shaft.  Should I lubricate that huge bearing with anything, or
just put it in as is ?  Also, anything I should know or watch out for before
installing the replacement shaft ?  Is it necessary to replace the oil seal
mentioned in the book (I haven't disturbed it in any way) ?
