Bob, Welcome to the list. I have always liked the 55 Coronet 2dr post, its clean and simple but very stylish. The upgrade to the 270 hemi was available for the Coronet in 55. Actually the 193 HP power package 270 hemi engine (known affectionately as the Super Powered Super Red Ram) was an option across the V8 models. There is a beautiful Dark Blue 55 Coronet 2 DR Hardtop in Denver with the power package hemi V8, it is a one owner car that has been Garaged since new and has not been driven in over 20 years. I have seen it only once because the owner is very old and the relatives will not show the car and are steadfast that it's not for sale. The word is that the grandson will get the car, I just hope he doesn't destroy it is truly a peach. So, adding the power package engine to your car while maybe not being "Factory" it would be correct in respect to it's possible options. Tim 55-56 Dodge Lover
