I was wondering how long it would take for
this List to get to the oil filter wars.
Been there. Done that. Got the T-shirt.
A couple of websites are concerned with
oil filters. Some even have cut-away pics
from sawing apart different filters.  One
had to take down some of what he said,
because of legal threats.

I don't know if Fram reduced some quality,
lately.  I still believe almost any clean new
filter will be better than a used one. The
contention usually is the end of the filter material
sealing in the filter, and the anti-drainback
valving.

I'm not going to say which one to use. It
gets to be like arguing religion with some people.
