[FWDLK] Torqueflites in semi tractors !!!

A 413ci in a road sweeper eh! Wow, what a driving experience that must be!

Our company uses purpose built shunting vehicles to move semi-trailers
around the yard similar to the vehicles used to unload trailers from
ferries.
Built by a company called Reliance Mercury, these vehicles utilise
Torqueflite autoboxes coupled to diesel engines. I think they are also
available with 2-speed 'boxes as well.
If a Torqueflites strong enough to pull a 44 ton, 45ft semi-trailer then I
guess it's good enough for our cars eh?

Ian.
