If it has brakes like my '57, there will be two hex -head adjusters on the backing plate. They operate two cam-like adjusters that bear against the rear of the shoes, pushing them out toward the drums.When you get things apart you'll see what I mean. I have always used regular brake fluid for flushing.The bleeder screws should close to the brake line connections, unless they rusted solid and some previous owner has twisted them off.

Also, I haven't removed the wheel cylinders yet, but when looking at the wheels, I don't remember an opening for adjusting the shoes on the rear of the wheel (the star wheel), nor a "bleed screw" on the wheel cylinder.  These are 11" brakes.  All help appreciated.
