Re: [FWDLK] power steering problems

For some totally useless trivia :

1959 Dodge Owner's Manual (Canada) :

"Winter Operation (Power Steering) :
"For temperatures below minus 10 F, use S.A.E. 5W-20 engine oil. Replace
with Type "A" fluid when low temperature period is over."

In another section the manual says to use Automatic Transmission Fluid, Type
A. (Shows drawing of 1956 Dodge power steering wheel with m'ladies gloved
index finger steering.)

1961 Dodge Owner's Manual (Canada) :

No more "Winter Operation (Power Steering)". The manual says to use Chryco
Power Steering Fluid at all times. (Still shows drawing of 1956 Dodge power
steering wheel with m'ladies gloved index finger steering.)

1962 Dodge Owner's Manual (Canada) :

The manual says to use Chryco Power Steering Fluid at all times. (Still
with the drawing of a 1956 Dodge power steering wheel with m'ladies gloved
index finger steering.)

>From then on, the Canadian Valiant owners' manuals I have (1962, 1963, 1964,
1965, and 1966) all have the instructions as in the 1962 Dodge book, only
without the 1956 steering wheel.

The U.S. 1962 Valiant and Lancer Owners' Manuals say to use Mopar Power
Steering Fluid.
