[FWDLK] Strange Poly Intake (was: Electrojector Intake?)

Okay folks, especially Bill Watson and Gary Pavlovich, here is the casting information from that mysterious poly intake mentioned last week.

 

Dated 12-11-58

 

Casting number is E-5793-M

 

Intake is painted green, and the finish appears to be original. Speculation leans me toward the "M" meaning "Marine".

 

Anyone know what it is?
