[FWDLK] Aussie Forward look cars

G'day everybody.
In reference to the Chrysler royal Aussie forward look cars I have a 1958
Chrysler royal wayfarer ute and a 1962 Chrysler royal wayfarer ute you are
right these cars were made from I beleive surplus plymouth parts and are
unique to Australia and also the 1958 has a grille bar similar to a 1957
desoto and the 1962 has tail lights similar to a 1958 desoto the chrysler
royals were built from 1957 to 1964 and were very limited production models
as they did not sell very well in this country as they were up against ford
and holden vehicles although in the 20s dodge was very popular and in the
30s 40s and the 50s the dodge and plymouth were very popular as taxis and
the 1951to 1956 dodge's were used as ambulance's with a special body built
they were sold to Victorian civil ambulance as a cab and chassis and they
then used chrysler royals built the same untill chrysler stopped production
in 1964 as they were from 1961 started making the R&S series valiant which
the valiant name stayed untill 1982 when the last valiant rolled of the
assembley line that is when mitsubishi took control of the chrylers plant
thus was the end of chrysler in Australia
These royal utes plus valiant utes 6 vehicles in total will be going over to
Wayne Maddox at Maddox Vintage auto parts in Commerce city Denver Colorado
as I have purchased these vehicles on his behalf.
The valiant utes are a1965 1967 and two 1968 as well as the two royals Ialso
have pics of these cars that I could put on the lists but I only know how to
send them as attachments if I was to send them all they may clog up the
lists
As Ialso have some of the Aussie charger.
I do hope this is not to boreing Laurie the dodge man from down under.
