[FWDLK] Quadrajet on an LA question

A friend is thinking about putting an old Quadrajet of mine on a 63
Belvedere that came with a 2 barrel on an LA 318 when he bought it.  He
already has the 4V manifold, and everything else looks pretty
straightforward.  I said I thought that Quadrajets might even have been
fitted to some 318's although I can't remember where that factoid came
from.  Our question, if he goes ahead with this, is what to do about the
recirculating gas feed?  I suggested leading the bypass line back to a T
piece just before the pump..... would this work?  Thanks for any tips.  Bob
