Whoa, whoa, whoa (or is that hey, hey, hey?)
NO trip to the L.A. area is 'complete'  without visiting the Merle
Norman (as in "cosmetics")
Museum, in the Simi Valley area (northern San Fernando Valley).

Sherwood the K. (El Presidente, then)  arranged for the 87 WPC natl meet
to visit that magnificent site (no blue-jeans or shorts ( on men OR
women!) allowed thereon, and reservations (were) required ,IIRC.

Their Classic automobiles, & automobiia, are NOT to be missed!

There may be a website established, for their museum.

If you wanna 'hop' a plane, for a day-visit, to Reno, their Auto Museum
is very nice.

Then, there's always Reno's  Hot August Nites (1st weekend in Aug),
but that's just an insane
Grid-locked, Hot-rod,  Chebbie-show.
