The problem with a kit like the one sold by Eastwood is it not to be useful
for those who have a clear or colored plastic steering wheel. With that kit,
you patch up cracks etc., then sand and paint. The '59 Dodge steering wheel
was made from a translucent plastic. Patching and painting would not come
close to recreating what was original. The guy I am referring to creates a
mold from an original wheel and re-casts a new wheel, injecting the correct
plastic into the mold/molds, all with some UV protected plastic so that the
wheel is actually better then new.
