[FWDLK] brake squeaks, locks, grabs, side pull, etc.. (57)

I think that at one or another time, the post title is correct for mine ... ( difference between "squeals" and "squeaks" ?)
I had no time to investigate my front wheels, maybe in some days so i'll keep you informed of what i find. Regarding the numerous replies, the first thing to check is contamined lining and leaking wheel cylinders.
I precise some infos about my brakes:
Fluid: silicon - Last major overhaul: 3 years old with these new parts: master and wheel cylinders, linings, flexible hoses, brake lines.  "old" parts: return springs, brake support plates . Front drums has been turned, i replace (after the problem occured) the left one with another original. Seems that problem disapears but after 1 or 2 weeks, the "cold" locking came back.

About disc brakes improvement: i tried to find a kit (AAJ) but here is their reply:
We are building a kit for 57-62 Imperial We just picked up a spindle today, we are probably 2 weeks away from having a kit. The kit will use 12" Rotors, 5 on 5 .5" but a 14" wheel will not clear. To use a 14" wheel you can't use a rotor larger then a 11", it won't clear the caliper and as far as I know there is not a rotor being made 11" with 5.5" bolt pattern. Also the 57 Imperial does not share a spindle with the 300C. The 300C shares a spindle with the rest of the 57 - 61 Chrysler, DeSoto, Dodge,  and Plymouth. At least bearing size, inner being  A-6 and the outer being  A-2, Imperials use larger wheel bearings A-5 inner and  A-3 outer.
I don't want to buy a set of 15" wheels, a set of 15" tires and a set of 15" wheelcovers..

About "trigger arm" adjustement, see what says the 57-59 FSM canadian version (more pics than in the '57 US FSM) at http://www.ifrance.com/c-i-f/images2/brake1.jpg . I think that this adjustement could alter the "strenght" of the booster.

Also some tips about "squeaking" brakes , see  http://www.ifrance.com/c-i-f/images2/brake2.jpg . I don't understand very well how grooving the lining !! side to side ? top to bottom ? diagonal ?  This applies to P30 D64 rear brakes. Not for front brakes ?

Thanks to all who reply, i'll let you know what occurs.

PS: i'm sure i've a contamined lining: it's the ...rear left which was cleaned but not replaced after an axle leakage. But it's at the rear ...
