You people finally got me to add my two cents to the pot.
Three doors up from me, is a hotrod shop. You know, F-- and GM cars, to them, are the only thing that exist and Hemi Eng., of course. When I got my 61 DeSoto four door H/T home to restore, man did I get a rash of crap from the shop owner about it being a DeSoto and especially a four door.
I wanted a four door because I intended to use it, almost daily and be able to take friends, brothers and sisters with, to dinner and such. You see, at my age, I didn't want to have to get out to let them in:-)
Now back to the Hotrod shop. After I restored it and got the wire wheels with www tires on it, the shop owner was bringing his customers here to show them the car. He was quite impressed. We be good friends now.
