Tom/List;  40-over (330 c.i.) on a 325 is VERY
do-able; that's what Horrie's got, and NO problems with over-heating, or
"flexibility" in the bottom end.

you can/should install adjustable pushrods, and
Schubeck valve lifters (not yet made, when I rebuilt my
engine--requiring  NO cam "break-in"!!). Dave Homstad can provide you
with some killer cam-specs, from his 'program'. Your cank was presumably
balanced, and the block align-bored?
