Chrysler built its own 3-speed transmissions, but did not build its first
car 4-speed until 1964. The 1960 unit for the Chrysler 300-F was the
French-built Pont a Mousson while the 1963 unit was built by Borg-Warner.
The 3-speed of the early 1960's dated back to the 1930's.
