I mis-wrote here and Ed Petrus has it right on the '57 DeSotos.  Gray inner and black outer.  That's why I wrote my three restoration Handbooks - I knew I would get old someday and not be able to remember all this stuff!   Senility apparently starts at 55 and I'm coming on 57 !!!

I'll speak for 1957 only and say that all 1957 Imperial, Chrysler and DeSoto (except Firesweep on the Dodge chassis perhaps) had gloss black wheels inside, outside, etc.
