[FWDLK] Have you converted from hydraulic brake switch to mechanical (pedal mounted?)

Hi all,

I am just about halfway done with my AAJ conversion, which includes a dual resevoir master cylinder which does not accomodate the screw-in brake switch. I had hoped to do as one person suggested and screw the hydraulic switch into the newly freed-up port on the brake block (4-way tee). As it turns out, the fitting/thread size is different. I have 2 switches, one is the original which is too big, and aother I have from a later car and its a tad too SMALL. I am about to go to the parts store to see if there is a brake light switch that will fit a standard- 3/16 brake line fitting. If not, then I suppose I need to convert to a pedal mounted swithc (which a few people have recommended since they work better, especially with disc brakes).

Has anyone mounted such a switch, and if so, what did you use? did you have to fabricate a bracket, or use something from donor car?

Thanks,
Lou
