These 2 numbers are in my'57 parts manual (candian version) : group 21A for P30, D64 (6 cyl) and P31, D65 (8 cyl) . The ..658 number is the 3 sp transmission pin type synchroniser assy. - exc sub, - less overdrive, US . and the ..656 number is the 3 sp transmission pin type synchroniser assy. - sub, - less overdrive, US (canadian models had the strut type synchroniser).

It's the number i sent you yesterday : Torqueflite part production number for the '57 Fury.
The manual said: "when replacing prod trans. with service transmission (1823 682 for Fury), parts shown below are also required : 1 - 1823708 / 1 - 1823 709 gov. weights."
