Probably in the wiring, at or near the switch. check the actual plug
pins. Not sure what yours look like, but if they are blade type, give
them a 15 degree twist, They will then have to scrape 2 sides of the
female connection when they are plugged in. Your jiggling the switch
may be shaking the wires just enough to make contact. May also be where
the wire is attached to the connector, look at them.
