The Volvo team took the award for the highest speed of the day, 54 
m.p.h. Nissan's Flying Torpedo was voted the best design by members of 
all participating teams, while Mr. Barrington's Chrysler took the 
overall win, covering the half-mile course in 34.2 seconds.
