Re: [FWDLK] Morons on TV

Adam,
I felt the same way after watching "Barracuda" on the American Muscle Car on Speedvision.
I wondered who did their research, or how ?  They could have dug up a couple of other cars.
They had a perfect chance to show the development of the car from the first Valiants, but
blew they it. They just show a photo of a 1966 Barracuda and talk over it.
Evidently, all they cared about was getting to the Hemi Cuda as quickly as possible.  I would
much rather see more info about the majority small-block Barracudas. For example, they won
the SCCA rallye championship  for 1965.

( Hemi. Stock...Too bad. It wasn't that quick, and handled poorly, compared to the other Barracudas.
Awesome in the half mile, but not so much in the quarter. Stunning view when you opened
the hood and saw those big valve covers. Modified, they were great. I'm old enough to have been there. )

With the Tulsa video clip referring to the '57 Belvedere as a gas guzzler stirring up questions of who does their homework before reporting I'd like to know who the hell writes the scripts for American Muscle Car on Speedvision? On the show about the Hemi Cuda and Challenger they referred to the '51 Chrysler Hemi as the Fireflite not the Fire Power, they said the '59 413 was a Max Wedge, and had the balls to say that the 426 Hemi had less low end power than the Z28!(Obviously the script writer never rode in a Hemi car!). They also really butchered the facts about the evolution of the Barracuda from the Valiant to the E-Body version in 1970. It's really sad that these idiots get paid for this and that uninformed people watching it are home eating it up. Just my 2-cents worth.
