Re: [FWDLK] gas gauge full = 1/2

I had a few NOS sending units,,, I sold all but one to Leon Silke,
he sells them for $180+ shipping (see ebay item# 8033514883). thats
a pretty reasonable price as new sending units as the 63 & later
A/B/E body mopars unit are $70-$150 ea. I still have
one (NOS ex. condition). As I recall there were 2 suburban s/u's,
and I kept one before selling the rest to Leon. I was going to use
it in my 63 suburban, but it wasn't an exact fit, so I modified a
63-66 A-body s/u and added a 3/8" line (I have some pictures of
the change at http://www.autohobbydigest.com/msl/?5339 the bend in
the tube was lousy, I admit. on the FL suburban s/u, the end of the
tube does two 90 de.g turns, those would be hard to duplicate, but
I don't think it would be necessary, so long as the tube end lands
in the same place.

http://tanks-to-pans.com has the lowest price for sending units, about
$70 or so,, whereas quanta and year one are $110-180... you could
buy a $70 s/u and modify it to match your FW sub.

If Leon has sold his last unit, I still have one, I guess I'd sell
it....
