No.  Canada did not switch to metric until 1978, although Chrysler Canada
equipped all their 1977 models sold in Canada with a metric speedo.

A 1950's metric speedo would have been used on any car built for a country
other than the United States or the Commonwealth at that time.   Both
Detroit and Windsor built cars for export back then so itr could have come
from either an American or Canadianbuilt export Plymouth/Kingsway/Diplomat.
