Dave,
I
work for Motor Trend and Motor Trend Classic magazines, and Classic is looking
to do a feature story on the Birth of the Muscle car. We're trying to round up
one each of the Big Three's 1961 or possibly 1962 sedans with big V-8 options,
and I was wondering if you could check your club roster for either a Dodge
Dart/Polara or Plymouth Savoy/Belvedere/Fury with the big 413, preferrably in
375-hp tune, but 350hp could do too. I think two-door is preferrable, hard-top or
post, though a four-door could do too. Our first choice of locations is the
metro-Detroit area, and we'd love to shoot the week of May 30 (a one-day
shoot). Second choice would be the greater Los Angeles metroplex.
The
car will be featured in an 8-page story in the 6th issue of Motor Trend
Classic, our (one-year-old) bi-monthly magazine featuring post-war cars.
