I purchased a set or four motor wheels which came
on a 54 plymouth------I got them from original owner of car-----and they were
body color------beige color-----He had them in his attic for over 35
years-----Also I have seen another set which were a reddish color-----Can anyone
find me a written statement from Chrysler which says they were painted silver ?
If you look at the tires and wheels section of a 55 Chrysler service manual, it
clearly states that wire wheels could be ordered chromed or painted, so I assume
painted wires would be correct on a 55 Chrysler. This came up at the judging of
an NCPC several years ago. A man had a 55 Windsor with painted wires------The
club agreed the wheels were correct-------Johnnie
