[FWDLK] Stuck in the 50's: Swallow a bullet!!

If I can find it, I'll send a couple pics that might make you gag, but
there is a certain 1958 Dodge CRL (all-white/red interior) 2dr HT, out,
there, where the owner, in the late 50's, applied seemingly EVERY
conceiveable chrome or stainless trim piece imaginable, onto the car!!!

Probably others, here, have had the MIS-fortune, to see this car, but
"horrific" is NOT too strong-of-a-word, to describe this owner's
out-of-control attempts to 'customize' this car.

AND, it still exists (in OH, IIRC) somewhere!!

As I recall, those bullets were from a Cad grill insert. Buick had Squares about '58 or so, think. Both used as backgrounds in the grill. Whitney also had separate bullets available.

I know (even though I'm only 37) that chrome bullets in the grilles was a popular NY thing in the late 50's-early 60's,was that trend carried out in other parts of the US or just here?
