Fury Jim, Cuda Bob, FLL...

The Poly 318 obviously has great power potential and makes more HP/Torque with less compression and head flow than a LA motor because of its superior head design; BMEP (brake mean effective pressure) for a Poly 318 with restrictive "log style" exhaust manifolds is approx. 164 PSI.

Ok, in these parts, some Old Timers will still be able to tell you,
the mopar Poly's were also known as semi-hemi's.
For street applications they were believed to breath almost as good as the Chrysler whales ( and in Dodges case, probably better then their baby hemis because of the ports, ever seen the exhaust ports on the dodge hemi's??)
