Re: [FWDLK] Cars we wish we still had (or COULD have bought?)

Hi Group,
In 1973 I saw an ad in the local paper for a 61 300 G convertible near me in San Bernardino, California. Loving Mopars, I had to go check it out. The car was sitting in the owners backyard, a weathered but complete red convertible except for the rams which the owner said he had located. I knew that car was something special but as an 18 year old I had little money and no storage. That car haunted me for quite a while, and about a year and a half later I decided I had to go back and see if it was available. The owner said nobody wanted to give him the $150.00 he was asking for it so he hauled it away to the crusher!!!! I still regret I missing that one, but as I got older and wiser I made it a point to get as many as I could!!
