There's all kinds of people out there- I once carefully cut a 54 Chrysler windshield out of a car, preserving the weather stripping which was good. Crated it up and sent it to California to a hobbiest who was unable to locate one. Charged him just what the junk yard owner charged me plus shipping by truck. Didn't make a dime, not even for my time- He paid without any hesitation-and when Christmas came a huge fruit basket was delivered to my door!

Another fellow failed to return the dozen photos I had taken of a car he was interested in buying years ago-although I had asked for them back if he wasn't interested-I was out the pics, developing and postage,.

 

All kinds out there-    The make-a-buck crowd are among the worst  Some are downright dishonest and will steal what they want, and then sell it.
