[FWDLK] 1955 wire wheels information

Hi Everyone I just brought a nice looking set of 5 1955 chrysler wire  
wheels for 250.00 {good drivers} and was wondering if I need tubes  
with these and are they worth getting re-chromed next fall ?  I want  
to mount new radial tires on them and have some type of white wall on  
them.  does anyone have these on there cars.  I now have a set of  
coker wide whites on the car { 15 years old now}
