We do have such an area -- the Forward Look Forums -- http://www.forwardlook.net/forums. There are currently several threads there about this issue.

While I do appreciate the passion folks have behind their views on the subject, I can 100% guarantee that we will not come to an agreement nor solution to the issue of fuel prices on our mailing list. 

We need to stay relevant and on-topic on the mailing list, as email is "pushed" to every subscriber.  The web-based forums. allow readers to choose which topics they wish to read, unlike this list.

Thanks to all for keeping the subjects on track.

Dave - I appreciate your concern.

However, I believe that, if those of us who are concerned about where this
country is headed don't speak up at every opportunity, we'll just continue
down the same disastrous path.

Maybe you can set up a separate thread for political issues (maybe one
already exists in Forward Look that I just don't know about - If so, pls
direct me, and I apologize to all members for taking their time).

their inflation-adjusted value, and root causes are a bit beyond our scope.
Unless your post is related to how the prices may affect your Forward Look
adventures this summer, it's probably best not to post it.
