I just sit on my original seats. They still look great after 52 years and
are a lot more comfortable than plastic.

I don't know about OEM clear plastic seat covers, but any good local
upholstery shop can custom fabricate a set of clear plastic seat covers
over your upholstery.

Many people see my clear covers and remark about how those "original"
covers have held up so well, and/or mention how they remember their
parents' cars having had them on their car.

BTW, my car is on its second set of plastic covers, as the first set
got kinda tired looking and stained.
