Re: [FWDLK] 55 CHRYSLER AT COPART

a new hood, some electrical checks... it can be on the road in a week... couldnt have been too hot of a fire- even stale gas would be volatile enough to ignite and put the whole rear clip up in flames... probably a burning barn, a little bit of roofing fell down on the fender/hood- the hood being wasted can be either weight, some heat distortion, or just them carelessly removing it from the scene...

i had a 54 new yorker that was next to a shed that burned down- wasted the side glass and windshield, warped the fender... but it was a running, free, 2drht [331 4bbl] so i had some fun with it....

It looks to me that the fire occurred outside of the car. Notice that the seat materials, which would be the first to go, don't show any fire damage. I would replace the wire harnesses regardless.
