[FWDLK] ETHANOL DAMAGE TO GASOLINE ENGINES

Hi all:

Thought I'd throw in my experience with ethanol.  Back in 1985, I drove my 1956 Dodge to the Detroit Meet.  On the way home, someplace in Iowa,I took a flying leap at the moon and decided to try a tankfull of ethanol.  It took me 3 full tanks of high test gasoline to get the car to run right again.  The engine had hardened valve seats.  I agree we must find a solution to this coming problem.  Simply changing out the rubber, etal, is not the solution.
