I have been watching for uncut aluminum keys for years and did buy one pair
for our '55 300. Used, worn and precut keys could be of value if there was
enough meat on the key to allow it to be recut to the desired configuration.
I suppose a locksmith could code each old key and compare it to a properly
coded new key and let a computer find a match. It looks like there are 6-8
pins in the locks. I think it's also possible to fashion a master key that
may or may not be illegal.
If the collection had keyed locks, that would allow swap out to locks with
aluminum keys.

I attended the Hoosier Auto Swap today, and one of the semi-local venders
had a cigar box chocked full of keys and some locks.
I SPIED some ALUMINUM keys in the box,
Nice condition keys, already cut, But!!
I did manage to see some Desoto and some with the forwardlook emblem, In at
least one case there were 2 of the same on a ring.
He is very reasonable on the asking $$
