Re: [FWDLK] Aluminum Keys

When new the 1955 and 56 Chrysler products came with two sets of keys, one set aluminum and one set chrome-plated brass, eight-sided for ignition/doors and triangle for trunk. 1957 and after had some brand-specific heads on the keys. For example, 1957 Dodges had an equilateral trapezoid with crest for the ignition/door and round head with crest for the trunk.

I don't know if this is true for any other FWDLK'ers, but for the
1957+ Dodges (the key-styles/logos are identical)....there
are three different keys that have been made:

The OEM all-aluminum ones, the chromed-over-brass bodied
ones, and the all-steel ones.

The all-steel guys have been sold on the Evilpay, recently.

I've got examples of each style.

On Chrysler locks and key cylinders...5 pins or tumblers are used..Each has

key requires.

It looks like there are 6-8
pins in the locks.
