Re: [FWDLK] Denver Bumper Works

Thanks for posting that, Ray.  I am not a member of the 300 Club, so I appreciate the note!  I would have been very disappointed to miss the show.

Denver Bumper is a great business and not far away from Golden.  For folks coming to Denver, you should also plan a visit to Svigel's Auto Salvage at 4393 South Santa Fe Drive in Englewood.  I am quite sure there are no 300 letter cars in the back lot, but the front store is full of neat things and they have a great supply of NOS Chrysler parts bought from a Chrysler dealership after the Platte River flood in '65.

The Clive Cussler Museum is a real treat - everyone who attends will really enjoy that collection.  Another worthwhile place is the Forney Transportation Museum at 4303 Brighton Boulevard in Denver.  They may still have an Imperial exhibit going, but I am not sure.

Enjoy!
Mike

Hi Guys;
I watched Modern marvels and they did a 1 hour show on Chrome.
Included was a segment on a artist who makes huge sculptures our of bumper parts.
His source is:

Denver Bumper Works

www.denverbumper.com/
Specializing in recycling, repairing and replating bumpers including powder coating, chrome, urethane, restoration, semi-trucks, and wheels.
Google+ page
830 Wyandot Street  Denver, CO 80204
(303) 623-3610
He says they cost him $3-4 dollars each, and the view was row after row of racks full of bumpers of all sorts.
Might be worth checking for cores for that project of yours. And if going to the 300 Club Int'l meet in Golden, an interesting stop along the way.
Ray
