Everything I have seen makes sense to me. The gentler angles are 
supposed to help it scavenge better as I understand. I know from 
experience with a Jeep I had that running without a crossover made my 
engine sound weird and it didn't seem as smooth or want to rev as well. 
I started with straight duals and then was advised by my muffler guy 
that I should use a crossover and it made a big difference. I will do an 
X-pipe on mine next time.
