seeking 1964 426 Street Wedge Pistons .030 over
Jimmy Peavy <peaver63@xxxxxxxxx>: Nov 29 08:44PM -0600

There is an exception. A 1960-1961 383 cu. in raised block.
Gary Wilson <gwwilson70@xxxxxxxxx>: Nov 29 06:45PM -0800

That is correct.
Stan Kafouse <skafouse@xxxxxxxxx>: Nov 30 03:01PM

There is no way a 454 piston will work that is a joke.. show me how it works.  A 415 crank new rod and a 427 piston come close...close. You don't need to sonic test a block pre 65 let alone 70 over ...more
Gary Wilson <gwwilson70@xxxxxxxxx>: Nov 30 08:24AM -0800

No one said anything about 454 that I saw/ 440 pistons will work if the

Just remember to have the block checked for thickness. Not all 413 s can
be bored to 7o over.

What is it in your experiences with a 413 block that leads you to the conclusion you can bore it 70 over and not be concerned enough to sonic test?  Just curious. I do have a 70 over 413.
Butch <waedison@xxxxxxxxxxx>: Nov 30 11:02AM -0800

As I've continued to research this, I found this on this site

Don't know about 454 pistons,But back in the 80's before all the kits

block with 6.760 Chrysler Rods
These were made using ...more

That hood scoop is Thunderbolt style. But I still like it.
