If your tank isn't leaking, I'd just get it cleaned out. Many radiator shops 
do this type of work. If the rust isn't that bad, replacing the fuel filter 
once or twice a year might solve the problem. I had a 63 that had sat for 
about 7 years before I bought it. I had the car for over 13 years without 
removing the tank.
