"I'm confused why it doesn't soak up more of the questions that are being
asked here on the IML"

I think people just like talking to like minded individuals. Personally, I
love talking cars, regardless the subject. I don't mind talking about the
same topic over and over, that helps reinforce it in my mind and that of
others. This also helps bring other people's ideas and opinions into the
mix. I say the questions are great and we shouldn't discourage them,
regardless if the answers can be found on a web site.

Don't get me wrong, the OIC site is an astounding source of information,
technical or otherwise. I also agree that we should promote the site at
every opportunity. I do though disagree that we should discourage
conversation on the IML for the sake of promoting the web site. After all,
IMO, this hobby isn't just about cars, it's really about the people. You
don't get the personal connection on a web site like you do by asking and
answering questions on a mailing list.

Just my opinions, your mileage may vary.

Did you call the vendors listed under the VENDORS
section as listed on the club website already?

If you did, you must have missed Atlas Obsolete,
because they have a bunch of them. Try to insist on
COD, as he can be very slow to ship, rivaled only by
Gary G. for a pondering pace on shipping things.

Seriously - the club website is a great place to get
information. I'm confused why it doesn't soak up more
of the questions that are being asked here on the IML,
since the work's done and the info's there waiting for
you already categorized down to the sub-system on the
car.

Now you have to wait till tomorrow to call, since it's
after-hours.
