RE: IML: hub puller - Vehicle Inspection

I find it interesting that some states will go through so much effort to
perform annual vehicle inspections. Yet here in California there is no
vehicle inspection at all. Several years ago I inquired about that and was
told by the Highway Patrol office that less than 2% of all accidents
statewide are caused by mechanical failure. Their opinion is that it's not
worth it for such a small percentage.

BTW, according to the California Highway patrol, the number one cause of
accidents in this state is a form of what they call distracted-driving.
That is, eating-while-driving. That's one of the reasons I don't allow food
or drink in my Imperial. (required content) :-)

Subject: IML: hub puller

When I had the Virginia state safety inspection done on my "64 LeBaron I
gave them the FSM for brake drum removal and they used it to remove the
drums in order to inspect the brakes. What then, is the hub puller used for?

Is it a must have tool?
