[FWDLK] Power Window questions

Dave (or anyone else) -

        Since you mentioned power windows, I recently installed the p/w assemblies
into my 59 Dodge conv.  The quarter windows are giving me trouble.  The
only way they will go up and down satisfactorily is if I remove the center
channel runner piece. Y'know, the angled piece with the nylon strip.  With
the piece installed, the windows will go down a little and then bind in the
channel.  I've cleaned out the channel completely and lined it with orange
silicon grease ((Sil-Glyde - $10 a tube !).  I know the 1/4 windows in the
conv are different from the 2dr HT, but I think you encounter this channel
thing either way. Any tips or suggestions ?

PS - These are DURA power windows and regulators, not AUTO-LITE.
