[FWDLK] 1960 Chrysler Windsor 383's

Dave,

Thanks. Lowell Howe of Patterson, CA, has an RB engine in a 1960
Windsor marked "Golden Lion" that he will sell. Marking is "P38 2-1".

Richard

Richard, I believe the 383 was the "long stroke" version, that the engine ID
"pad" would be located in the same place as the other RB engines - that is
almost under the A/C compressor (if so equipped), right in front of the
"bar" that holds down the valley pan (or intake gasket if you prefer) at the
right (as you are looking at it) front of the engine. The short stroke 383
would have it's number located under the distributor (also on a machined-off
"pad" of sorts).
Regards,
DaveG.
